The Department of Statistics,
created along with IME in 1970, brings together researchers from the
areas of Probability and Statistics, and is responsible for courses and
disciplines in Graduation, Improvement and Post-Graduation. The
department offers the Bachelor of Statistics, at the undergraduate
level, the Improvement Topics in Statistics at the level of refinement,
and a Masters in Statistics and Ph.D. in Statistics at the graduate
level.
The Statistics Department also
contributes to other disciplines and programs at IME USP: basic
disciplines of Probability and Statistics, offered to the whole USP, and
other, more advanced, for specific courses, and advisory services to
researchers from USP and other institutions.
