The Graduate Program in Mathematics (PPG-MAT) at the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics, University of Sao Paulo, is composed of a Masters program and a PhD program. It has an excellent infrastructure, which includes computer labs, study rooms and a library with one of the largest collections in Mathematics in Latin America. PPG-MAT offers between 23 to 30 lectures every year, and the students can be supported by fellowships from Capes and CNPq.
PPG-MAT is organised into four broad research areas of specialisation:
- Algebra
- Analysis and Dynamical Systems
- Geometry and Algebraic Topology
- Logic, Set Theory, General Topology and Combinatorics
