Applied Mathematics Department

The Applied Mathematics Department at IME-USP (MAP) was constituted in 1971. MAP is responsible for the Bachelor of Applied Mathematics (BMA) and Bachelor of Applied and Computating Mathematics (BMAC), in addition to offering various subjects to USP units (such as Numeric Calculus, which is offered for virtually all students of Mathematical and Physical Sciences at the Capital campus). The postgraduate department offers a master’s and doctorate degree programs, consistently well evaluated by CAPES, and with a history of having formed dozens of professors and doctor degree holders.
The MAP Colloquium, held on Fridays at 16 pm, is open to the interested public. See EVENTS to learn more about the schedule.
