About myselfAfter attending the CEFET (a technical highschool) I obtained , in 1995, a BSc in Molecular Sciences at the University of São Paulo (São Paulo, Brazil). Two years later I obtained a MSc in Statistical Physics from the same university under the supervision of Prof. Nestor Caticha. In 1998 I joined the Neural Computing Research Group at the Aston University in Birmingham where I graduated as a PhD in Neural Computing in 2001 under the supervision of Prof. David Saad. Having returned to my home country, I spent a couple of years working in the financial market. Another couple of years have been spent as a posdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Physics of the University of São Paulo. From 2005 to 2010 I was an Assistant Professor of Complex Systems at the School of Arts, Sciences and Humanities (EACH) of the University of São Paulo. In 2011 I joined the Dept. of Applied Mathematics at the Institute of Mathematics ans Statistics (IME-USP) as Assistant Professor. |
