.: Basic Constructions: examples :.

In this section we present some basic geometric constructions to introduce the use of iGeom.

Angle bisector

Angle bisector: two rays with a common origin define 2 cones, one of them is convex, in addition to the 2 angles (which sum 360°), each one have an associated angle bisector. Thus, an angle bisector defined by a convex (or non-convex) cone (defined by 2 rays), is the geometric place of the points of the convex cone that are equidistant from the two rays.

Perpendicular bisector

A bisector of 2 points is the geometric place of the points that are equidistant of the 2 given points.

Midpoint

The midpoint of 2 points A and B is the equidistant point of A and B, with the least distance.
