I research software architecture in games and helped found USPGameDev, a multidiscplinary special interest group that studies and develops games as an extension of academic formation.

PhD Research

We propose The Unlimited Rulebook, a reference architecture for games with heavy use of economy mechanics such such as role playing games, card games, strategy games, tycoons, sandbox games, among others. Read more!

Masters Thesis

We studied the challenges of real-time soundtracks in games and developed VORPAL, a middleware for procedural audio based on PureData. The research incuded the production of a proof-of-concept game, Sound Wanderer. Read more!
