 Series of talks at IME-USP on themes such as mathematical modeling and numerical resolution of practical problems, coming from several applications of mathematics. The main goal is to criate a discussion forum to exchange ideas between researchers and experts with different backgrounds, allowing for the development of new ideas for new multidisciplinary works.
 

In this positive environment, we also intend to estimulate scientificaly undergraduate students and, simultaneously, to expose graduate students to pontentially new work and research themes.
 

Since 1997, representatives from the brazilian industrial sector (e.g., Rhodia and Petrobras), are being invited to talk in an attempt of approaching the academia to the application problems where they naturally appear.
