I am an Associate Professor at the Applied Mathematics Department of the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics (IME) of the University of S\u00e3o Paulo (USP), Brazil. In 2026, I am at Politecnico di Milano, Department of Mathematics, as a visiting professor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My main interests are related to numerical analysis of fluid dynamics, geophysical flows, dynamical core development (atmosphere\/ocean), numerical methods for seismic imaging, and biomathematics\/statistics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Associate Editor of Monthly Weather Review (2015-2020, 2025 to date). Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences (2023-2027). Main interests are related to numerical modeling of global atmosphere and fluid dynamics on the sphere, and general numerical analysis and methods for different applications. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
