Description

The 1° Friends in Brazilian Extremal Combinatorics will take place at IMPA during the summer of 2026. The main focus of the event is twofold: to bring together brazilian researchers (and friends from abroad) to do research on important open problemsin Extremal Combinatorics; to discuss and organize the events that will take place in Brazil in the following years, the writing of books in the area and also the discussion of future research projects.

For the research part, the first day will be dedicated to the presentation of problems and division into groups. The following days will be devoted to group work on the chosen problems, with progress reports scheduled for Friday mornings.
