Helder Oliveira is a professor at the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of São Paulo (IME-USP) and a Productivity in Research Fellow at CNPq – Level 2. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Alagoas (2011), a Master's (2014) and PhD (2018) in Computer Science from the State University of Campinas, and a Postdoctoral degree from the same institution (2019). With an extensive academic production, he has published 20 papers in journals and 53 in national and international conferences, accumulating 750 citations and an h-index of 16 on Google Scholar. His work has been recognized with several awards, including being a finalist for the best Master's dissertation by the Brazilian Computer Society (2015), receiving the Best Thesis award at the Brazilian Symposium on Computer Networks and Distributed Systems (2019), and the Second Best Thesis award at the Latin American Doctoral Thesis Contest organized by CLEI (2019). Currently, he leads the optical networks research line at INCT ICoNIoT, making significant contributions to the advancement of knowledge in computer networks and distributed systems.
