Foi membro visitante do &#8220;Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton, New Jersey&#8221; (1992\/93). Atualmente \u00e9 Professor Titular da Universidade de S\u00e3o Paulo, no Departamento de Matem\u00e1tica Aplicada do Instituto de Matem\u00e1tica e Estat\u00edstica.
