The 3rd Workshop on Combinatorics, Number Theory and Dynamical Systems will take place in Fortaleza, Brazil, from October 19 to 23, 2026. The event is jointly organized by the Instituto Nacional de Matemática Pura e Aplicada (IMPA), the University of São Paulo (USP), and the Federal University of Ceará (UFC).
After a long interval due to institutional and global circumstances, including the organization of major mathematical events in Brazil and the COVID-19 pandemic, the workshop returns with a renewed interinstitutional scope. This edition is dedicated to the memory of Christian Mauduit (Aix-Marseille Université, France), one of the workshop’s main supporters and a key figure in fostering interactions between combinatorics, number theory, and dynamical systems. His work and collaborations played an important role in strengthening connections between researchers in these fields and contributed significantly to the development of their interfaces.
The program will bring together internationally recognized researchers to discuss current developments at the frontier of these areas. Activities will include plenary lectures, technical discussions, and in-person working groups designed to promote scientific exchange, collaboration, and the development of new research directions.
The workshop will also feature a poster session for participants wishing to present and discuss their research. The deadline for poster abstract submission is September 20, 2026, and notification of acceptance will begin on September 25, 2026.
Further information about the program, registration, poster submissions, and other activities is available on the event’s official website.
