Conference Hotel: Maresias Beach Hotel

The hotel is located in Maresias, SP, about 180 km from São Paulo (kilometer 154 on the Rio-Santos highway).

The bus from the University of São Paulo (Principal Entrance 1, March 25th, 10:00) to the Maresias Beach Hotel and back will be provided for the participants of the conference.The trip takes around 3 hours door to door (if no traffic jam).

Because of the different arriving time of the foreign participants, the follwing vans are sheduled:

Van 1: March 24th, 12:00 Guarulhos Airport (Meeting Point: Information Desk, Terminal 1, 2nd floor) - Maresias
Van 2: March 24th, 21:00 Guarulhos Airport (Meeting Point: Information Desk, Terminal 1, 2nd floor) - Maresias
Van 3: March 25th, 11:00 Guarulhos airport (Meeting Point: Information Desk, Terminal 1, 2nd floor) - Maresias

The foreign participants will be contacted by e-mail, giving the mobile phones of the corresponding responsible colleague.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT São Paulo-Maresias: There are public conventional busses from São Paulo to Maresias. The late foreign participants should take at first a bus from the International Airport Guarulhos to the TIETE International Bus Station (the ticket price is 28.05 brazilian Reals per person). The tickets to Maresias should be booked upon arrival by LITORANEA firm situated at the TIETE Station. The busses to Maresias leave TIETE Station at 8:30, 10:30, 11:30, 15:30, 17:30 and 19:15 daily (the ticket price is about 30 brazilian Reals per person).

The busses to São Paulo (TIETE Station) leave Maresias (in front of the Maresias Beach Hotel) at 6:30, 8:30, 11:30, 14:30, 16:30 and 18:30 daily.

TAXI: The taxi service from Guarulhos International Airport to Maresias costs about 380 brazilian Reals. If you choose this option or you are late for busses above, please inform firstly the corresponding responsible colleague calling to his mobile.

Bus Rio-Maresias-Rio: there will be a bus (air-conditioner, sound, wc etc) leaving Rio, from the PUC (Catholic University in Rio) campus on the 25th March (Sunday) at 9:00 am and returning from Maresias on Friday, 30th March around 2:00 pm.

The trip takes around 7 hours door to door. If the weather helps the view is unmissable the Atlantic forest meeting the sea, with splendid beaches. There will be no charge, but places are limited. First booked, first served. You should get to PUC campus through the planetarium entrance. The meeting point will be just after the gates.
