IME-USP On the definition of polysymplectic and multisymplectic structures.
Abstract: We report on recent work which has led to a new definition of polysymplectic and multisymplectic structures on finite-dimensional vector spaces. When extended to the realm of differential geometry, these structures are as fundamental to field theory as symplectic geometry is to mechanics.
