The FAPESP's thematic project "Stochastic Modeling of Interacting Systems" is an initiative to bring together probabilists from universities of São Paulo state, Brazil.

Our current research activities are focused on central topics of the theory of probability and stochastic processes. Among them we mention: convergence to equilibrium, gene expression systems, interacting particle systems, percolation theory, properties of various stochastic processes, quantum gravitation, random networks, scaling limit and aging of dynamics of disordered systems, statistical genomics, stochastic clusters, stochastic models in finance and risk assessment, stochastic processes in random environment, stochastic rumor and epidemic models.
