Resumo: 

It is  well known that  for A,B \subseteq Z_p,  their sumset
A+B has cardinality at least min(|A|+|B|-1,p).  In this talk
we will  investigate the cardinality of sumsets  of the form
A+\lambda A. When A is  a finite subset of the integers good
estimates  are  known  but   the  finite  setting  is  quite
different  and  in  fact   we  will  show  how  the  natural
conjecture, namely |A+\lambda A|\geq min((\lambda+1)|A|,p)$,
fails.
