Department of Computer Science

The Department of Computer Science faculty has 34 full-time members - 27 Doctors and 5 lecturers on the process of completing their Doctoral degrees (4 of them at our department and 1 on leave abroad). The Department also have 2 part-time lectures making a link between the Department and the Industry.
The Department is in charge of the undergraduate and graduate Computer Science programs at the University of São Paulo main campus, as well as for all Computer Science courses offered to other programs at the University. The undergraduate program was established in 1970 and the Master's program in 1971. The Doctoral Program is still in its initial stages and has already a few graduates.
