Resumo: We consider an inifinite-range interaction energy on a one-dimensional lattice and the problem of the convergence of the Gibbs measure as the temperature tends to zero. For finite-range intercation, is is known that the Gibbs measures converge to some minimizing measure supported on the set of ground configurations. For the infinite-range case, we assume that the ground set admits a unique component of maximal entropy (with possibly many minimizing measures). We will show that, though the Gibbs measure may not converge, the Gibbs potential does converge. The Gibbs potential is the eigenfunction of the associated transfert operator seen as a kind of effective potential at positive temperature.
