This is the first announcement of the 2012 PIMS-mprime Summer School in Probability which will take place on the campus of the University of British Columbia, in Vancouver, Canada, during June 4-29, 2012.
The school will include two main courses:
Omer Angel: Interacting Particle Systems Gregory Miermont: Random Maps as well as invited lectures and opportunities for participants to present their own research.

Funding for local expenses will be provided to some participants.
Information about how to register and how to apply for support will be given in a second announcement in Fall 2011.
