| I. For those going to the hotel La Residence in (São
Paulo city) on Saturday July 31st or before |
|
In the International Airport:
- Go to EMTU office - located outside, by the street, near the exit. It
offers a frequent confortable bus line that goes to the hotel area in the
(new) city center.
- Get the bus with destination Guarulhos/Paulista/Augusta.
- The bus frequency is about one each 30 minutes leaving the
airport.
- It costs R$ 21,00 and takes about 45 minutes to reach the Hotel
Renaissance, in Alameda Santos. The hotel La Residence is at 150m in the
same block, in the parallel street, Alameda Jau 1606, Phone (011) 3061
5585, home page: www.laresidencepaulista.com.br. You need to cross no
street to get from Renaissance to La Residence.
- Alternatively you can take a taxi. The taxis are reliable and have a
fixed rate (around R$ 80) to go to the hotel.

Itinerary:
USP, Portão 1 (main entrance): 2:30 pm
La Residence Hotel: 3:00 pm
International Airport Guarulhos, EMTU office: 3:45 pm
Ubatuba: 6:30 pm
USP (main entrance) is located at the end of street Afrânio Peixoto
in the Butantã neighborhood
Return Information:
Depart from Ubatuba: Saturday, August 7th, 2:00 pm
Arrival at Guarulhos airport: 6:00 pm
Arrival at La Residence: 7:00 pm
Arrival at USP: 7:30 pm
- Rio de Janeiro (departing at 3:00 pm)
Itinerary:
IMPA (main entrance 3:00 pm)
IMPA is located at street Estrada Dona Castorina which is a
continuation of Pacheco Leão in the Jardim Botanico neighborhood. The
best way to reach IMPA from the airport or from the bus station is by
taxi.
Return Information:
Deapart from Ubatuba: 2:00 pm
Arrival at Galeon airport: 7:00 pm
Arrival at Impa: 8:00 pm

| III. If you are not taking the School bus |
|
Regular bus line São Paulo/Ubatuba from the Tietê Bus Terminal (Terminal
Rodoviário Tietê) in São Paulo:
The bus company is called Litorânea and can be reached at 0800.999701. It
is located at the windows 463-464 of the bus terminal. The trip takes
about 4 hours. Buses depart at 07h00, 10h00, 13h00, 16h00, 18h30 and 21h00
everyday.
There are direct buses from the Guarulhos and Congonhas airports to the
Tietê Bus Terminal. From the center of São Paulo, you can also take the
blue subway (metrô) line to the Tietê station. |

| IV. For those arriving at the local airport
(Congonhas) |
|
- Go to EMTU office - It offers a frequent confortable bus line that
goes to the international airport (Guarulhos) where you can meet the bus
of the school going to Ubatuba at EMTU office: 3:45 pm of august
1st.
- Alternatively, you can take a taxi (they have fixed rate at the
airport) or common local buses to the hotels area or to the university's
main entrance. You can get some information on how to reach the
university at http://www.ime.usp.br/como_chegar.php
