Title:
Quasi Stationary Distributions for Dynamical Systems and Stochastic
Processes.
Abstract:
Quasi stationary distributions describe the long time statistics of
trajectories which avoid a hole in the phase space. One is mainly
interested in proving the existence of such objects, and deriving
their properties (like for example the absolute continuity with
respect to a natural reference measure). Another important question is
the rate of convergence of the distribution of the process conditioned
to have avoided the hole up to a large time (the Yaglom limit). We
will describe in particular results for stochastic population dynamics
of biological traits.
